couldnt sleep last night
and the wretched sun woke me up this morning
and im burning myself
right now
how to study in the library today
i ll just die

should have brought stuff to tan HUR
i can feel THE SUN
ARGH
and
mom just told me today
about that 8 year old boy who got knocked down by a reversing van, outside our place
and how she saw the pool of blood he was lying in

life is sad
when will i finally wake up
and give thanks
for the people around me
and not take them for granted
and for the poor boy and his family
the he has been called home with the Lord
may we grieve with those who are grieving and mourn with those who mourn
his mom was hysterical, mommy said
sob.
how many times have i crossed that road
and how many times did somebody have to grab my hand to pull me back.
its time i open my eyes
and time i drive carefully as well.
maybe i ll quit driving for good.
